UPDATE JULY 28: 18-year-old Steven Olsen was arrested after being interviewed by police on July 27. He currently faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

UPDATE JULY 12: The mother in the stabbing has been identified as 45-year-old Lizzette Schley.
The Clark County coroner has listed the cause of death as a homicide by multiple sharp force injuries.
UPDATE JULY 10: 13 Action News spoke with a friend and neighbor of the woman killed Sunday morning.
"I didn't hear anything all night or all morning until I heard her screaming," said Steve, who didn't want his last name released. "It sounded like she was fidgeting for the door and I yelled to a neighbor across the street."
He said the victim, a mother and government contractor, died on scene.
Right now, the community is hoping police will quickly find and apprehend the suspect.
"I didn't get any sleep last night," he said.
ORIGINAL: Homicide detectives are investing a stabbing in the 1700 block of Rockcrest Drive, near Torrey Pines and Vegas drives.
Around 9 a.m. Sunday, a neighbor heard a female screaming at the house next door. Police arrived and found the woman with severe stab wounds. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
Preliminary results from the investigation reveal that the woman was a Hispanic female in her 40s. There were no signs of forced entry or robbery, and the residence was clean.
Homicide detectives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will release more information about the case on Monday.
