UPDATE: JULY 8: The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as Thomas Robert Wallenta of Las Vegas. The cause of death was listed as blunt force injuries.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A 59-year-old motorcyclist is dead after being hit by a woman who ran away afterwards, say police.
It happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. near South Decatur Boulevard and West Flamingo Road on Saturday night.
A woman driving a white Nissan Altima ran a red light on northbound South Decatur Boulevard as a motorcyclist was driving westbound on West Flamingo Road. The white Nissan hit an Indian Motorcycle and veered off into the southbound lanes of South Decatur Boulevard, striking other vehicles.
The motorcycle also hit several vehicles after its rider was thrown by the initial impact. Additionally, several vehicles struck the motorcyclist.
The male rider of the motorcycle was transported to UMC where he was pronounced deceased. The woman ran from the scene before officers arrived.
No other drivers or passengers in the incident were hurt. Fatal Detectives were called to the scene. The intersection was blocked except for eastbound West Flamingo Road for several hours.
Anyone that has any information about the female driver of the white Nissan Altima that fled is urged to contact police.
