FEB. 12 UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner has identified the woman as 47-year-old Joanna Cocette Mickens. Her cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest and it was ruled a homicide.

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas police say a woman is dead and a man is in critical condition after being shot near North Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue.
NLVPD says they received a call shortly before 3:30 a.m. Jan. 10.
Both victims were taken to University Medical Center where the woman died.
The woman is believed to be 37 and the man is 47, according to police.
Police say they don't believe the shooting was random. Currently, no one has been arrested.
This was the second homicide this year for North Las Vegas.
