Truck driver in deadly cyclist crash deemed hazard to public safety

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — An update on the truck driver accused of hitting and killing five bicyclists in Nevada.

Jordan Barson has been declared an imminent hazard to public safety according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

He has been ordered not to drive any commercial vehicle.

Earlier this month, Barson was driving a truck in Clark County when authorities say he hit and killed 5 bicyclists.

Barson and the company he was driving for at the time of the crash could face civil penalties for violating national safety regulations.
