UPDATE JULY 17: Las Vegas police say the man arrested on Tuesday is 28-year-old Alvester Wilson. They believe he is one of the two men they were looking for after a homicide on Soaring Gulls Drive on July 3.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- It took SWAT officers and crisis negotiators hours to arrest a person who was holed up in a home in a southwest neighborhood near Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Decatur Avenue.
Las Vegas police officers were called out to the 9700 block of Fox Estate Street at around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Neighbors in the area told 13 Action News they were not allowed into their homes for several hours while the standoff was going on.
Las Vegas police confirm they took in the suspect without incident sometime in the middle of the afternoon.

It remains unclear who the suspect was, what the person was wanted for, and why there was such a heavy police presence at the barricade situation.
