Las Vegas police responded to a barricade situation in the northwest part of the valley Monday evening.
The person was barricaded inside a home starting after 5 p.m. in the 6900 block of Raleigh Avenue, near Alexander Road and Rainbow Boulevard. Police reported that he was in custody around 9:20 p.m.
Police said a resident found the suspect in his garage and then confronted the suspect, who then brought out a machete.
The resident fled to a neighbor's house.
There were no reported injuries.
