LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man has been arrested for a deadly stabbing at an illegal pool party. This happened last month.
The police say Maurice Avery Lopez the second stabbed a man in the chest, killing him. It happened July 23 at a house party near Decatur and Silverado Ranch boulevards.
Witnesses say the victim was fighting with Lopez at the time.
The house was rented out using a short-term rental service, which is illegal in Clark County.
Police say in the recent months, there have been 15 shootings and 3 murders at short term rental properties.
House parties have also become an issue in Los Angeles. We have video from a party over the weekend at a mansion in Beverly Hills.
Starting Friday, LA will shut out the utilities at homes where parties are happening within 48 hours. The goal is to discourage big parties in the city.
