A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday night.
The call on the shooting came in around 8:35 p.m. A neighbor said he heard six shots at the apartment complex in the 6500 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near Torrey Pines Drive.
The man was found with an apparent gunshot wound outside on the buildings. The preliminary investigation indicates there was an argument between two people outside the building. Another witness heard 3 to 4 gunshots.
One witness said, "We seen the guy over there in the screaming like oh it hurts, saying a lot of things you know he was still alive though yes he was still alive."
Even though police now say there was a fight before gunshots, another witness said he just heard the gunshots.
The shooter is not in custody at this time.
