Shooting between roommates in northeast Las Vegas leaves 1 dead, police say

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say a shooting between two roommates has left one man dead and another in custody in the northeast part of the valley.

Officers responded to a 911 call that a man in his early 30s had been shot shortly after 4:30 p.m. at a mobile home on Yellowstone Avenue, near Lake Mead and Nellis boulevards.

When officers arrived they pronounced the man dead on the scene.

A second man in his late 20s was brought into custody.

Police believe that second man shot his roommate multiple times, killing him.

Officers also say there was a second gun next to the roommate who died and police are trying to determine if there was an exchange of gunfire.

The incident remains under investigation.
