A 38-year-old Reno man with a long criminal history has been sentenced to 10 years to life in prison for 2011 felony driving under the influence and burglary convictions.
Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks announced Wednesday that Shaen Lowell Gresham was sentenced Friday as a habitual offender with more than a dozen felony convictions in Nevada and California.
Hicks says Gresham fled to California after entering his pleas in 2013 before he was returned in custody in 2015 for sentencing.
The prosecutor says Gresham's criminal background includes DUI causing death, impersonation, conspiracy, burglary and drug convictions.
Gresham previously served about 10 years in prison in Nevada after pleading guilty to felony DUI in a crash that killed a 55-year-old woman crossing a Las Vegas street in 1997.
