Robbery suspect taken into custody following barricade situation in west Las Vegas valley, police say

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Metro Police have taken a suspect into custody on Saturday night after a two-hour barricade situation in the western valley.

According to police, the suspect was wanted for a robbery and barricaded himself in an apartment and was refusing to exit. Both negotiators and SWAT units were working to negotiate with the suspect in a complex on Bromley Avenue and Orland Street.

As of 8:05 p.m., police have confirmed with Channel 13 that the suspect surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody.
