UPDATE 8:15 P.M.: Las Vegas police say one person was taken into custody by SWAT without incident. Detectives are now assuming the investigation

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police and SWAT are responding to a barricade situation near Windmill Lane and Rainbow Boulevard.

Windmill east of Rainbow is shut down in both directions.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, an armed person is inside an apartment in the area and refusing to come out.
