UPDATE NOV. 3: The Clark County Coroner has identified the man as 31-year-old Ciro Vasquez, Jr. His cause of death was a stab wound to the chest and was ruled a homicide.

Police say a store clerk is dead after a fight at a business on North Las Vegas Boulevard between Pecos Road and Lamb Boulevard.

Officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area on Sunday shortly before 7:30 p.m.

When they arrived police say officers found a man who has been stabbed. He was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead.

His identity will be released by the coroner at a later date.

Authorities say the man told 29-year-old Angel Martinez to leave the business for soliciting money from customers. He reportedly escorted Martinez outside where a fight broke out.

During the fight, police say the man was stabbed.

Martinez ran away but was found by patrol officers, the department says. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds and booked in absentia for Open Murder.
