Two suspects have been arrested in a Henderson robbery and attempted murder, and Action News has obtained the arrest reports.
23-year-old Rudy Herrera and 25-year-old Sarahi Solis were charged in connection to the crimes.
A robbery that happened at a park on Whitney Ranch and Galleria drives in early November, led to a string of events.
According to arrest reports, University of Nevada, Las Vegas student Chin Chai Huan was walking through the park, because he had just learned bad news from home. That's when he was robbed at gunpoint. The robbers stole his wallet and his house keys, along with his driver's license that had his home address on it.
Chin didn't immediately go to the hospital, and didn't file a police report, police believe, out of fear and cultural differences. According to the property manager, Chin didn't ask to have his locks changed after the robbery.
Days after the robbery, police believe Herrera and Solis tracked down the address, took their stolen key, and walked into the apartment. Chin's roommate went after the intruder, there was a fight, and two shots were fired. Police say there was blood on the floor and walls throughout the kitchen and family room.
Herrera is a convicted felon with a criminal history including grand larceny, burglary, and home invasion.
