UPDATE: Coroner identifies man shot to death in Henderson

UPDATE OCT. 6: The Clark County coroner has identified the victim as 39-year-old Justin Roe Forsythe, from Rancho Cordova, California. His cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and it has been ruled a homicide.

ORIGINAL STORY

Henderson police responded to a shots fired report near South Gibson Road near Paseo Verde around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 2.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a 39-year-old white male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to Sunrise Trauma where he died due to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim arrived at the shooter's residence to retrieve his property.

The shooter left after the shooting in a white four-door Porsche, which was later found.

The shooter is described as a Black male adult of unknown age.

This is being investigated as the eighth homicide for the City of Henderson for 2020.
