UPDATE: Victim identified in Sun Point shooting

UPDATE: The victim of Friday's shooting was identified by the Clark County Coroner as 28-year-old Rayvon Solomon.

ORIGINAL STORY

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A man was hurt while another was taken into custody in a shooting east of the Las Vegas Strip Friday night.

Police said the shooting happened around 1:07 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 1300 block of Sun Point Drive.

Arriving officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and attempted to render aid to the victim. The suspect then returned to the scene and was detained. The victim was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

An investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police indicated that the suspect, 33-year-old Steven Lewis, confronted the victim and an adult female inside a local restaurant. The victim and Lewis were reportedly dating the female. Lewis later came to the residence where the victim was visiting, and a physical fight occurred inside the house. The suspect shot the victim, and the victim stumbled outside before collapsing.
