Police: Legacy High School student who brought gun to school also had ammunition

A Legacy High School student who is accused of bringing a gun to school also brought ammunition, according to his arrest report. 

Francisco Maldonado, an 18-year-old student at Legacy High School, was arrested on Monday morning for having an unloaded 9MM gun in his backpack along with 11 rounds of ammunition. In addition, police said the gun was stolen and was going to be used in a drug deal. 

The school was tipped off that there was an adult on campus with a gun. Maldonado was arrested around 9 a.m. No one was hurt.

Maldonado was arrested on a charge of bringing a dangerous weapon on school property.
