LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are investigating two shootings at the Wild Wild West hotel-casino on Tropicana Avenue.

The incident was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Initially, police told the media that a woman had been shot. They later corrected that to say a man had been shot.

Police say that it began as a dispute between two men and one of the men pulled out a gun and fired at the other male. That male was struck in the hand and elbow.

Security guards responded to the shooting and a security guard shot at a suspect who was "fleeing." The suspect was last seen headed south on Interstate 15.

The man who was shot refused medical treatment. Las Vegas police are investigating both shootings.

This is the second shooting involving security guards at a Stations Casino property in a week. Security guards shot and killed a man at Green Valley Ranch Resort on Jan. 1.
