LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex on Jeffreys Street near Eastern and Tropicana avenues.

Police say they received calls from residents reporting gunshots in the complex. When they got to the scene around 10:30 p.m. on Friday they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police believe the victim was fighting with someone before the shooting.
First responders took him to the hospital where he later died. The coroner will release the victim's name after notification has been made.
