LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police have taken an armed suspect into custody on Tuesday morning after the man barricaded himself inside a business in the eastern Las Vegas valley.
According to police, officers received the initial reports of the incident at 8:05 a.m. at a business in the area of East Charleston Boulevard and North Lamb Boulevard.
Officers located the suspect at a nearby business where he refused to surrender, prompting police to call in SWAT and Crisis Negotiators. The business with the armed suspect, as well as nearby businesses, were evacuated by police.
Police have shut down southbound Lamb Boulevard at Charleston as they attempt to de-escalate the situation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
