A person of interest is no longer being sought in a man's shooting death this past weekend.
Around noon Saturday, police responded to a residence in the 6900 block of Stober Court, near Rainbow Boulevard and Twain Avenue, for multiple reports of a gunshot being heard and a male injured. Officers arrived to locate an adult male victim bleeding severely from a single gunshot wound.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the male to the University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased approximately 30 minutes later.
Homicide detectives determined that several men and possibly one female were involved in an argument in front of the residence during which one man shot the victim once. At this time, detectives believe the suspect was known to the victim.
Moments after the shooting, a white man was observed walking east away from the involved residence. A gray Dodge Magnum station wagon was also seen leaving the scene.
The case will be forwarded to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for review.
