LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man has been arrested for the June 2019 death of 43-year-old Geoffrey Going.

25-year-old George Kahaleau-Doctorello is facing a charge of open murder and was booked into Clark County Detention Center last week.

Police say that a passerby called police about an unresponsive male lying in the parking lot of the bar on East Sahara at 10:15 p.m. May 30.

Upon Going’s arrival at Sunrise Hospital, they thought he was extremely intoxicated. They placed him a holding area where he fell. Upon examination, they realized he had multiple head injuries.

On June 7, Going died at the hospital.

Police returned to Badlands and located video that showed Going being hit or thrown to the ground. Two men stood over the victim. The manager of Badlands recognized one of the men as a former employee.

A bartender told police that the former employee was at the bar drinking with a man from Pahrump whom he called “Keoki.” The bartender says Keoki left briefly to go next door to a sex club named Green Door. When he came back to the bar, he told the former employee that “some guy” had run up on him and he hit him.

Police then spoke to the former employee who confirmed that he had been at the bar with Kahaleau-Doctorello. The former employee told police that the suspect said that Going had been touching him and he pushed him.

At one point, both men were seen re-enacting the incident on the surveillance video. Neither man appeared to have made any attempt to help the victim.

On March 12, 2020, the coroner ruled that Going’s death was a homicide. An arrest report was issued for Kahaleau-Doctorello.
