The Arizona Department of Public Safety is reporting that a carjacking took place in North Las Vegas on May 26 and ended in Kingman Arizona.
They believe at about 6:47 p.m. the vehicle involved in the carjacking was also involved in a drive-by shooting south of the Hoover Dam Bridge. A commercial vehicle was allegedly hit by shots coming from the carjacked vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was uninjured.
A trooper traveling northbound on SR-93 came up behind the suspected carjacking vehicle but as the trooper got in behind the vehicle, it turned around and headed southbound on SR-93.
The trooper turned around and began pursuing the vehicle.
The pursuit went southbound on SR-93 until the vehicle ran over stop sticks which had been deployed by officers. The vehicle then crossed into the left turn lane where it hit a bus. A man and a woman in the vehicle took off on foot but were quickly apprehended by police.
There were no injuries on the bus.
