Man, woman arrested for attack on Las Vegas rideshare driver

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man and woman have been arrested for the attack on a ride share driver who picked them up in Henderson.

47-year-old Chantilly Farmer and 24-year-old Devonte Roberson were arrested Thursday. They are both facing the following charges:

  • Robbery with a deadly weapon
  • 1st degree kidnapping
  • Conspiracy to kidnap
  • Grand larceny of a motor vehicle
  • Conspiracy to commit a robbery
  • Conspiracy to commit grand larceny of an automobile

Roberson is also facing an extra charge of battery with use of a deadly weapon.

Police say a ride share driver called them around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 17 from the Love’s Travel Stop near U.S. 93 and Interstate 15.

The driver said 2 passengers had attacked, beaten, stabbed and tied him up as they were traveling to Mesquite.

The pair is due in North Las Vegas court on Saturday morning.
