LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police responded to a ShotSpotter notification in the 1800 block of J Street, near Martin Luther King and Lake Mead boulevards, Wednesday at about 12:45 a.m.
Arriving officers located an adult male lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Detectives responded to the scene.
Detectives did not immediately identify a suspect or motive with their investigation ongoing.
The Clark County Coroner's office will release the identification of the victim once family has been notified.
