A man was shot during an attempted robbery overnight.
Police say that two men were sitting on the sidewalk near Desert Inn Raod and cabana Drive when a white vehicle pulled up.
A Hispanic man wearing a black shirt pointed a gun at the men and demanded their property and money.
The man then shot one of the men in the shoulder area.
No money or property was taken and the shooter fled the scene.
The vehicle was last seen heading east on Desert Inn.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting was reported at 2:50 a.m. Thursday.
