Las Vegas police took a man into custody Thursday evening after a shooting at a gas station.
The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. near Patrick Lane and Pecos Road. Originally, police said he was shooting at a trash can, which later turned out to be air compressors behind a fence.
When police approached the man, they said he was not cooperating with police and reached into a bag where he appeared to grab a gun. Police then used a "low-lethal" shotgun and the man was struck by three beanbag rounds.
The man was then taken into custody. Police believed the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was taken to Sunrise Hospital to be evaluated.
