LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has identified 43-year-old Stephen Hall as the man arrested for a stabbing death that occurred on Oct 11. near 10th St. & Bonneville.
Hall was arrested on one count of open murder and one count of attempted murder in an incident where 3 homeless men were stabbed. One of those men, later identified as 57-year-old Donald Mancil, died from his injuries.

The police report states blood evidence at the scene was a positive match to Hall and his photograph in a police database matched the description of the person of interest.
On Oct. 27 police say they spotted Hall at a park located at 1600 Wigwam Parkway near his van, the same van spotted on surveillance tapes near the scene of the crime.
Police say they took him into custody at that time and his van was sealed by LVMPD Crime Scene Analysts and taken to the crime lab for processing.

Hall was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and booked.
While being interviewed by detectives he originally stated he had nothing to do with the stabbings. Then later asked "what if it was self-defense," the police report states.
