Man arrested in North Las Vegas triple homicide

An arrest has been made in a shooting that left three dead in North Las Vegas Sunday.

41-year-old Jose Easley Jr. was taken into custody without incident Wednesday night. He was subsequently arrested and booked at the Las Vegas City Jail for three counts of murder with a deadly weapon, one count of attempt murder with a deadly weapon, one count of battery with a deadly weapon, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of ex-felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

The shooting took place near Lake Mead and Simmons around 9 p.m. Sunday. Two females and one male were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is recovering.

The Clark County coroner identified those killed as 20-year-old Dejona'e Nash, 52-year-old Susan Nash and 31-year-old Deonte' Nash, all of North Las Vegas. The coroner ruled the cause of death for Dejona'e and Deonte' as multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Susan's cause of death is pending.

The preliminary investigation indicates the two men and two women were in the parking lot when an argument ensued with the suspect.
