A man accused in multiple sexual assault incidents in Las Vegas was arrested this week.
On May 22 around 11:10 a.m. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located in the area of East Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway to investigate reports of a robbery and sexual assault.
The investigation determined the three victims were inside of the office when a man armed with a handgun came into the office and ordered the victim into an interior room. The three victims were tied up, and two of the victims were sexually assaulted. The suspect took personal property from the victims and fled the scene.
Through the combined efforts of LVMPD patrol officers, sexual assault detectives, and crime scene/ forensic analysts, the suspect was identified as 33-year-old Walter Lionel Cifuentes-Reyes as the suspect in this case.
Detectives also determined Cifuentes-Reyes is the suspect in a sexual assault that took place on May 5. In this case, police said Cifuentes-Reyes was reported to have kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teenage victim from the area of South Eastern and East Tropicana avenues. He later left the victim at an apartment complex located in the 4200 block of Tamarus Street.
Around 4 p.m. May 25, Cifuentes-Reyes was located by the Criminal Apprehension Team at a bus stop near the area of Nellis Boulevard and Flamingo Road and was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he faces charges of:
- Sexual Assault - 11 counts
- Robbery - 2 counts
- Kidnapping 1st degree - 4 counts
