LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing on Jan. 15.
It happened near East Sahara and Eastern avenues. Las Vegas police say they responded to the area around 8:12 p.m. and found an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he later died.
During the investigation. 36-year-old Qais Fawad was identified as a suspect. He was taken into custody by patrol officers on Jan. 20. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center on open murder and robbery charges.
The victim was identified as 54-year-old Jose Salamanca. His death was due to multiple stab wounds to his back. His death was ruled a homicide by the coroner.
