LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 64-year-old woman is dead after being struck by someone driving under the influence on Thursday night.
It happened shortly before 7 p.m. near South Eastern Avenue and East Windmill Lane.
Police say that 36-year-old Oliver Cairns was driving when his car struck the woman who was not in a crosswalk.
Cairns was arrested after he displayed indicators of impairment. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
This is the 6th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas so far this year.
