UPDATE: Coroner identifies teen killed after video game argument

UPDATE OCT. 5: The Clark County coroner has identified the deceased teen as 16-year-old Arthur Earl Davis IV from Las Vegas. Arthur's death was due to a gunshot wound to the chest and it was ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police have released more details about the shooting involving a juvenile on Thursday.

It happened on East Canary Ivy Way near Hollywood and East Lake Mead boulevards around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police say the victim and shooter were at a mutual friend’s home playing video games.

They got into an argument over the game they were playing. One of the teenagers pulled out a gun and shot the other.

The teenager who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other teenager, only identified as a 14-year-old boy, ran away. Police were able to locate him nearby and take him into custody.

The teenager was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on one count of open murder.

The Clark County coroner will identify the deceased after notification.
