LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say 2 men were shot early this morning during an attempted robbery at an apartment complex on Mountain Vista Street near Russell Road.
Lt. Ray Spencer with the Homicide Unit said during a press briefing that a man in his 20s arrived home at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday and was approached by 2 men, also in their 20s, before he got out of his car.
At some point, one of the men opened fire and the man in the car and one of the other men was struck multiple times.
The man in the car was able to drive away and call police.
Both men were transported to Sunrise Hospital and are in “extremely critical” condition.
The shooter ran away and police are trying to locate him.
