UPDATE DEC. 14: The Clark County Coroner has identified the two children as 2-month-old Lily Singleton and 1-year-old Rose Singleton. The cause of death for both babies is still pending.

Las Vegas police are investigating a double homicide involving two juveniles near Desert Inn and Maryland Parkway.
Police say they received a call around 12:15 p.m. regarding two unresponsive juveniles at an apartment complex on Sierra Vista Street.
Police say they attempted to render aid but the juveniles were pronounced deceased by responding medical personnel.
During a media briefing, Lt. Ray Spencer said that two young children -- ages 1 and approximately 2 months -- are dead and their mother has been arrested.
Spencer said that the father of the children discovered the deaths and called 9-1-1. Police described the father as very upset.
Spencer also said they do not know why the mother may have killed the children at this time. They are talking to the mother and interviewing neighbors.
