UPDATE (Aug. 11): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as 40-year-old Quincy Thomas from Las Vegas. His cause of death was a stab wound to the torso which was ruled a homicide.
Police are investigating a homicide after investigators say a passerby noticed a man lying on the ground and called 9-1-1 early Sunday.

When crews arrived at the scene on H Street, near Lake Mead and Martin Luther King boulevards, they discovered the man had stab wounds.
He was transported to UMC where authorities say he died from his injuries.

It is unknown at this time what led to the stabbing. Police believe the man lived in the area.
At this time, there is no suspect.
