KINGMAN, Ariz. (KTNV) — A traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Kingman, Arizona, resulted in a Las Vegas man being arrested for possession of 43 pounds of methamphetamine.
42-year-old Israel Tellez-Nava was stopped by police around 8 p.m. Nov. 21.
Police observed bundles of methamphetamine in plain view during the traffic stop and arrested Tellez-Nava on scene.
Charges against Tellez-Nava are Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, all felonies.
No on else was in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Three large boxes were found in the vehicle containing a total of 43 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of over 1.9 million dollars.
He was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
