LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Gustavo Mares, 26, was arrested and is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on charges, including attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, robbery and false statements to obstruct a police officer, in an axe attack that occurred on April 23 near K Street and Owens Avenue.
According to the police report, after being arrested Mares admitted being in an altercation with the alleged victim however he denied using a hatchet.
The two had met at a bus stop and went back to an RV where Mares was going to purchase some clothes when, per the police report, a fight broke out between the two men and another man in the RV.
