An armed robbery suspect in Colorado has been arrested for a Las Vegas homicide.

19-year-old Benjamin Weeks is the suspect in the January murder of 27-year-old Adrianna George. He was arrested last week and is awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.

Weeks was arrested in Carbondale, Colorado, first in February for a robbery of a convenience store where two employees were robbed at gunpoint.

The investigation led to the arrests of Weeks and his cousin, 19-year-old Nicholas Alexander Ameral, for aggravated robbery on Feb 22.

On March 2, Las Vegas police detectives were in Carbondale and nearby Glenwood Springs conducting interviews related to a homicide case. During the week of April 18, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Weeks on felony first-degree murder, felony burglary while in possession of a gun and felony robbery.

George's body was found Jan. 16 in an apartment in the 400 block of North Lamb Boulevard, near Stewart Avenue. At the time, Las Vegas police investigators said a family member had gone to check on George after not hearing from her for some time. The relative then found her dead in the apartment.
