LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A couple accused of torturing and killing their landlord's cat made an appearance in court Thursday.
Immanuel Church and Denise Eddines allegedly killed the cat because they thought it was possessed.
The cat's owner remains upset over the killing.
"Every day I cry. Baby Girl was there and now she's not," Nia Wulkan said Thursday. "Why? Because they thought there was a demon in my cat."
Police said the couple severely beat two other animals in the home.
Both Church and Eddines are facing animal cruelty charges.
