Las Vegas police seek the public's assistance in their investigation into a deadly shooting that occurred earlier this week in the northeast part of town.

Authorities say arriving officers contacted the driver but he was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. This person was transported to the University Medical Center but later passed away.

The investigation indicated the man parked his car on the street before an SUV came next to him. The driver of the SUV then got out and shot the man in his car.

The man who was shot was able to drive for a few hundred yards before crashing, according to police.

After the shooting, the driver of the SUV left the area and authorities are asking anyone with further information to contact them at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identity of the man killed after his family has been notified.
