The arrest report has been released for the bus driver accused of assaulting an autistic girl in November.
The incident reportedly happened on Nov. 20. A babysitter picked up the girl, who is autistic, from her bus stop. The bus was 30 minutes late that day and the bus driver -- Ramiro Garcia -- told the babysitter it was because the child did not know her address.
In addition to being late, the babysitter noticed that the young girl was sitting in the back of the bus, which was unusual.
When the girl's mother picked her up that night, the babysitter told her what happened. The girl's mother began questioning her on the way home. The girl told her mother that the bus driver told her to go sit in the back of the bus on the ride home. The driver then reportedly licked the girl's chest and took off her underwear. In addition, the driver reportedly placed his fingers in the girl and put his penis into her mouth.
The victim was taken to the hospital and examined. The police were also contacted. The girl told a very similar story to investigating officers.
The police were able to determine that Garcia was employed as a substitute bus driver for the Clark County School District and was driving the bus the day of the incident. They also obtained a search warrant for the bus the child was riding.
Police were able to recover a sweater that the girl had been wearing the day of the incident. They also found three napkins/paper towels with possible evidence.
Garcia was arrested at his home. Police also gathered potential evidence, including electronics, from his residence.
