5 juveniles were arrested near Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts on Jan. 23.
According to Clark County School District Police, a concerned citizen called dispatch about a group of approximately 10 juveniles hanging around a parked car near the school.
The citizen believed they had seen one of the juveniles brandish a gun and then tuck it away.
When CCSD police arrived, the juveniles began running away. Police were able to catch up with 3 of those who ran.

Police asked the driver and another person in the car if they could search it and were given consent.
They used a K9 who got a hit inside the car and a 9mm gun was found under one of the seats.
The 3 juveniles who ran were charged with breach of peace for running. The 2 juveniles in the car were charged with possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. One of the juveniles in the car was also charged with brandishing a firearm.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and ATF Gun Crime Task Force have taken possession of the gun.
Del Sol Academy is located near East Patrick Lane and McLeod Drive.
