LATEST UPDATE: According to police, the fatal shooting may have been drug-related. Police say the victim and suspect were arguing before the shooting. This is the 82nd homicide to be investigated by Las Vegas police.
FIRST UPDATE: The person who was shot on Paradise Road has died, according to police. The Clark County coroner identified the person as 23-year-old Elliot Andrew Black of Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Two people were shot early Friday morning in separate shootings.
The first shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 3500 block of Paradise Road near East Twain Avenue.
Police received reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a male who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The second shooting happened around 1:26 a.m. in the 3600 block of Town Center Drive near West Twain Avenue.
Two people were walking when a vehicle drove by and someone fired a round into the air.
The vehicle then turned around and someone fired at the two people. One person was hit several times.
The victim was transported to UMC Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.
At the moment, it appears the shooting was random.
No suspects in either shooting have been arrested.
