18-year-old Eric Brooks from Las Vegas was killed while sitting on a park bench near Seeliger Street and Vintage Wine Avenue on Friday night.
Around 10:25 p.m., police were called to investigate reports of gunshots and a person lying in the street. Officers spotted Brooks when they arrived, and medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
An investigation indicated that the victim was sitting on a park bench. A dark colored SUV was also parked nearby. After the shots were heard, the SUV was seen leaving the area and the victim was found on the ground.
Officials say the victim may have gone to the park for an arranged meeting with an unknown person.
