FEB. 12 UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased woman as 68-year-old Carol Jane Clayton from Las Vegas. Clayton's cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the incident was ruled an accident.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- New information this morning on a crash that killed a 68-year-old woman on Thursday night. Police say she was attempting to get items from her car when she was hit.
It happened last night near Eastern Avenue and Warm Springs Road.
Police say the woman was involved in another crash and went to her car to get items out.
When she was walking back across the street, she was hit.
Police say the driver who hit her was impaired.
The driver failed a sobriety test at the scene.
