A driver involved in a crash last week has died from his injuries.
51-year-old Donald Merritt Jr. died on Sunday morning, following the crash on Friday.
The crash happened around 4:50 p.m. on Friday near Jones Boulevard and U.S. 95. Police said Merritt, who was driving a Toyota Camry, was traveling south on the southbound U.S. 95 and Jones off-ramp but failed to maintain his lane and hit a Lexus G300.
The Camry continued southeast through the intersection, struck a curb and entered a nearby property and also hit the right side of a parked Scion TC.
Merritt was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries and died Sunday at 6:20 a.m.
This was the 5th fatal crash in the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's jurisdiction in 2016.
