UPDATE NOV. 12: The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 37-year-old Kristopher John-Earl Hutto from Las Vegas. His cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a fatal traffic collision that occurred on West Russell Road at the intersection with Lindell Road.
Police say evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2004 GMC Yukon was traveling west on Russell Road before it struck a light pole on the northwest corner of the intersection.
The driver was a 37-year-old male who was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death marks the 85th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD's jurisdiction for the year 2020.
The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
