LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Wynn Las Vegas is sharing plans to keep employees and visitors safe in preparation for reopening the resort, and the company's CEO is praising Gov. Steve Sisolak for his "early action in the fight against COVID-19."
On its website, Wynn published a PDF document titled "Wynn Las Vegas Health & Sanitation Program."
The document outlines the ways the resort will work to keep its employees and guests safe once it reopens, including using thermal cameras at points of entries to conduct "non-invasive" temperature checks on anyone entering the building.

Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox included a statement in the plan, praising Gov. Sisolak for his "early action" and saying in part, "It is imperative to flatten this curve so we can re-emerge in a safe, sustainable way."
The plan states the governor's "appointed Task Force should be focused on COVID-19 testing capabilities and safely reopening the economy," suggesting dates be pushed up or pushed back based on daily data analysis. It expects to open mid- to late-May, assuming the state is "still in line with benchmarks" at that time, the company says.
