Who will receive checks from the CARES Act?

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — In response to the coronavirus pandemic in the United States, congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act, a law meant to address the economic fallout from the virus.

The new law allows the government to send stimulus checks to many Americans, however it has also caused confusion leaving people asking, "will I receive a check?"

The CARES Act provides $1,200 to Americans making $75,000 or less ($150,000 in the case of joint returns and $112,500 for head of household) and $500 for each child.
